Is Data Science Marketable in Kenya?

Data science in Kenya is still in its infancy stage and it is with certainty that it is experiencing tremendous growth. Recently, according to a study that I had conducted on Linkedin, I realized that the job postings in the recent past has increased in number. This indicates a positive deviation as Industries in Kenya has started embracing the use of data science in their day-to-day operations.

It is worth noting that most of the industries in Kenya have shifted from making decisions using the traditional ways and instead have shifted to using data in what is commonly known as using data to make data-driven decisions. Data-driven decisions are more efficient and effective in the optimization of business processes.

In conclusion, we can safely say that the data science profession is indeed marketable and it is worth pursuing for any data science enthusiast who is interested in climbing up the ladder in the profession.
